older with 32 bit works now in 64 bit write corrupt exe file with wine any idea ?

    yes it is :( and from basic corrupt file notepad works lol

  • You can run windows apps via wine on linux, but I guess you can't run x64 apps via wine. Try Sublime text It's a great freemium alternative for notepad++ and it's cross-platform.

    Dude screw notepad++! Try Gedit, should have all the fun syntax highlighting that you need

    Geany is another similar option for Linux.

    If we're suggesting better editors, then look at Brackets :) Just figured that Geany (and well, gedit) would be closest to Notepad++.
