VPS for IRC

I would like to get a small VPS to setup a small IRCD server, I don't plan on using it once setup, I just attempted it many years ago and failed and would like to give it another go and see if this time I can set it up correctly.

Last time I used them, RamNode allowed IRC servers on their network.

We allow IRC. Will this just be used for say, a month then?

If you only need it for one month, we can provide something for £1.00.

Well, what we can do is charge you £1.00 (And no setup fee) for the first month and then our current promotional price after that, if you wish to keep it, which is entirely up to you, you're more than welcome to cancel after the first month.

The VPS specification would meet the one listed at http://virtual6.net/virtual-servers.html, let me know if you want me to PM you a unique promotional code.

To be honest your helping us test out our new deployment method. So it's not completely selfless :) The £1.00 is purely to cover the minimum transaction.

  • just buy a buyvm for a month or something, or use free credit at DigitalOcean or Vultr to try out your ircd for a month or two.

  • Just give it a test with DO, failed setting it up again.

If you want some help, shoot me a PM.

  • If you aren't going to actually use it, just run Virtualbox on your own computer for free...

What IRCd? What problems are you facing?

Trying to install services but getting

    "root@test:~/services/anope-1.8.9# ./services
-bash: ./services: No such file or directory
    "

I officially give up trying to run services :(

  • I could set it up for you @Gerrard8. By the way, BuyVM is great for hosting IRCd :)

  • try blazingast.io

We allow IRC on our networks. You can use any of our Premium OpenVZ (http://krkn.pw/vps) or MooseVZ (http://moosevz.com)
