Active Directory Integration for WHMCS

AlexanderMAlexanderM Member, Top Host, Host Rep

Has anyone developed anything for Active Directory Integration for WHMCS ? I was going to see if I could get this developed , just wondering if anyone had?

Not much interest from whmcs...

AD is industry standard in organisations to authenticate.

  • Whmcs and organizations with AD usually don't mix :)

Yep. It's got to the point we have customized our WHMCS so much we're running a lot of our own code lol. When we have time for another project we will definitely be leaving WHMCS, but right now we're using so much custom code with WHMCS it's not as easy as migrating.

If I can get AD auth spinning soon, I could probably manage to keep WHMCS for longer.

If you're looking to use it just for staff access (I can't imagine why you would want to use it for customers, really), there's this: https://www.busyrack.com/ldap-authentication-for-whmcs-admin/

I haven't used it (either with AD or a regular LDAP server), but it's what I would try first.

Monthly fee for a simple LDAP integration script? That's just retarded.

Yes, but it's not the seller that's retarded.

Don't think this is really a crucial feature, although could be handy for a bigger company, what would be even more interesting is the access side of things.. using AD security groups to control software side access !?
