Anything in the middle east will be slow, filtered, filtered again, regulated, expensive and slow.
I'm aware, I was talking with a friend who is in Qatar and works for the government (if you can really call it that), and he earns about "20,000" and still has censored internet even though he works for government.
that's certainly not right. internet in KSA is quite fast and well connected (to most british/eu isp's) the filtering part is right though ^

My experience of STC was somewhat different
Not so for Israel. Very high speeds and a good deal of international bandwidth (mostly thanks to submarine cables to Italy), no filtering, and no more (if not less) regulation than most Western countries. No question that it's more expensive than Europe or the US, but you can get some surprisingly competitive deals.
Makes not much sense for Arab countries however.

I'ld say go to the middle of your two choices, go for Turkey but... Recently a court ruled that having porn in "unnatural" (lemme say, everything except the most boring one) ways is a no-no. So I doubt you will find any that is not evil.

Yea, nashirnet and their upstream are the only ones in the region that almost fit into LEB pricing. BW quality is good but better inform yourself about censorship and allowed content (their upstream is EXTREMELY strictly following Sha'ria, they even check websites and pull the IP if they don't like the content) before.
