Hi,

just saw on their forum that they seem to end their "Free VPS & Web Hosting" Project, so backup your data if you have something there!

I had a VPS with them since 2012, and it was pretty stable.
Less downtime than some of my paid boxes...

More info seems to come on their forums soon: http://forum.haphost.com/

Edit: They removed the picture, idk why, I add it here again.

Does this affect Host1plus? They're still the cheapest option for Brazil and perhaps also South Africa.

  • maybe submit a ticket to support or sales to get an answer?

I don't see any announce, and btw, if they would close.. they would send an email to actual clients.

  • Hello everyone,

Sorry for the confusion you might have experienced. However, it is not a joke and HapHost project will be shut down on the 1st of June, 2015. All the customers are asked to make sure they collect and transfer all of their content until the shut down date.

Furthermore, this will not have any impact to Host1Plus hosting services and the service will work as usual.

Hope, this gave you some clearance.

Because you want to take back all those IPv4's from HapHost and then use them for Host1Plus's hosting services and make $$$ ?

Seems like a sensible thing to do.

And so what even if they do? It's not like they are obligated to provide you a free service forever, stopping due to changed business circumstances is a perfectly normal decision.

And people are also not obligated to refrain from asking critical questions about the exact motive behind the service.

If it weren't for Host1Free, Host1Plus would have been unlikely to grow as big as they have.
