Hey guys,

today im looking for a small VPS (1 Core, 512MB Ram, 10GB HDD/SSD, 1.5TB @ 100 MBit/s). The server should be located in Germany (if not possible France or Netherlands would be okay too). Connection should be good around europe (users mainly from germany/switzerland) but also from eastern/southern europe and finnland (so basically all around europe).

Price not more then 5 Euro per month. Willing to pay for 3 month in advance. Only reliable hosts. Important: I will need a DDOS protection (nothing special, no big attacks so far, mostly under 1GBit/s).

I could offer you that but I do want to note I have nodes with hetzner and ovh in those regions(ovh in france and canada) and hetzner in germany.
Note as far as I am aware ovh is the only one in that region with ddos protection as I haven't heard if hetzner has ddos protection or not.

I don't know of anyone currently doing DDoS protection in Germany (local protection). We do happen to have ongoing plans to expand to that region in the near future (as much as I can say currently).

However we wont be offering 1.5Tbps of bandwidth and ddos protection for 5 Euro. To get that sort of pricing your only offerings are really OVH KS.

So, what do you want to achieve? That's the first question I would ask.

I guess you think latency matters much for Teamspeak, but it doesn't.

In fact, the slowest thing about the transmission of the voice is the codec.
The audio input gets compressed first and this usually takes between 100-500ms.
Now, if you add 20ms to that, by choosing a German server or if you add 30ms by choosing a Luxemburg server, or if you add 22ms to that by choosing a server in the Netherlands, makes zero difference. You could even choose a server in the US and I bet you wouldn't hear a difference.

So, if that's the reason you want to only consider German providers, cross it out of your list and think about the other options mentioned here that all provide decent latency to German users aswell.

I had that just recently. Someone refused my 110ms ping free TS3 to get one with 60ms for $10/month. Some people are just into competitive gaming beyond our imagination lol

@multi without DDOS protection you may want to try DigitalOcean for $5 a month and look around a bit- you may find coupons or affiliate links to get you at least $10 to get started and test it. You could then put cloudflare in front of it. Not a perfect setup, but you did say without DDOS protection is ok too. You may want to contact digital ocean to see how large their datapipe is to frankfurt DC. It may be higher than other choices (it may not also -hence the need to compare)
