Email to SMS services
Since our default email to SMS gateway, provided by mobile operator, is kind of unreliable, I would like to check for alternatives.
Anyone using such services, could you recommend something? Paid or not paid, doesn't matter. Reliability is the top criterion.
If Amazon SNS would work with our mobile carriers, I would definitely switched to it. But it doesn't.
Thanks in advance.

Does it need to be email to sms or can it be other API for sending sms?
We can do SMS for UK numbers. 500 texts for $5
Nexmo might work for you. Their custom API is pretty powerful which you could fine tune to your needs.
I played with Twilio's API a bit over the weekend and it was impressive - take a look: https://www.twilio.com/docs/api/rest
Anything that can programmatically send SMS will do as well.
It's no problem to use an API, I can easily bind it with email/other notification service.
@Riz, @souvarine - thanks for services mention, looking at them.
@Master_Bo then Nexmo should work.
I'm using this at the moment. Works great, dirt cheap and very easy to use API: www.textplode.com
We have been using http://www.clockworksms.com/ for a good 3 years, its been a flawless experience thus far. You can do simple API control or for email you will be able to send like so: http://www.clockworksms.com/doc/easy-stuff/email-interface/send-sms/
Twilio 4ever.
Have a look at twilio, it's awesome.
Nexmo or Twilio should do.
Hi I am looking for an SMS gateway in the US
Try this http://codecanyon.net/item/email-to-sms/239890
That may work but just be aware that you have to know what carrier is associated with each telephone number.
@smartcard, @ub3rstar Thanks for reference!

Twilio will work fine if you don't mind paying small fees for a phone number and the messages sent.
