Hey guys,

Can a few people from China be so kind to run a traceroute to the following IP and post or PM me with the results? We are making some big improvements to our network and we're looking for some feedback with regards to our connectivity to China Telecom.

    Considering the paths are utter nonsense as far as readability goes (No PTR) -- you'd probably have more diverse results using

    That's because CERNET2 has peering with HKIX and sometimes int'l transfer will go through it...
    So do NTT in JP.
    Sometimes some CERNET2 users will go CT's link... this time it's directly connected.

    it seems the route from China Unicom to all the vps providers which in QuadraNet LA changed recently? not use direct link now, all transit from BBOI

    such as maximumvps、xvmlabs、vmbox、hostodo...

    and, @SkylarM, the route to crissic LA is even worse, it now use sprintlink -> ntt -> QuadraNet :(

    Edit: the route to crissic changed back to BBOI now :p

    Edit2: sprintlink again, it seems the route to crissic is dynamic? constantly change between sprintlink and bboi ...

    IT7 and crissic does not use original QN IPs, so their routes may be different...

    他们不是原生IP，是广播到QN的，路线有差别不奇怪。
