I have been sitting here trying to think of any software i run or have run that would function on 64MB/96MB of ram and I'm at a lose? i can't think of anything in this day and age of any program that could function on only 64MB/96MB of ram

  • Err you have already hijacked the post. I have used their Strawberry a few months and so far so good. If you want to make offers, just start your own thread. 64MB and 96MB are more than enough to run a SOCKS tunnel or web proxy.

@Clancoms How are these low end plans the worst? Looks like you are trying to throw a sales pitch your way? So stop being a dam jerk, you could of keep that shit to yourself actually.

i for one know there is a demand for 64mb vps servers. i released some NAT IPv4 ones, and they sold like hotcakes. mostly for VPN Usage. few small html websites etc.. then of course you get the jackasses that feel the need to go, oii.. i can put my useless bitcoin miner on here.. but still none the less. there is a multitude of things that can be done with Truly lowend VPS Servers.

But yes @Clancoms , you are completely hijacking the thread by putting your FULL plan details + Pricing on someone elses advertisement.

Your opinions can be kept to yourself unless you have something useful to input into the discussion.

VPN, proxy, DNS, TS3, IRC bouncer, website, monitoring, email,.. so many things that work on a 64MB RAM VPS..

64mb ram is pretty ample for OpenVPN if you strip down the VPS, keep it lean and mean and use a 32bit distro. zebedee + 3proxy, or OpenSSH as a self proxy with a socksifier also works well. Heck, even socat if you just have a single bad route to one address with your ISP that you need to get around, or if you want to chain together multiple proxies to mix and match routing between parts of the country.. Perhaps you just want a personal IPv6 broker.

Can easily handle small websites, even better than shared hosting in alot of cases purely because of having more control over nginx.

Linux is pretty darn great for tight fits if you take the effort to prune everything, and it's surprising how small you get it. Basically just what 4n0nx commented on prior, but yes, sometimes you don't need to fill anything more than a single very-specific function -- which is what VPS plans like these are awesome for.

  • Unfortunately, I need to retract my earlier comment as things have a turn for the worse with my Berry server. You can read the full details in the Reviews section:
