We use ColoCrossing's Chicago location for this offer, and VPS's are on a 1Gbps connection. The nodes in use for this offer are software RAID10, or hardware RAID1 with cache.

Account password and Root password and ???
VPS user account + password
SolusVM password
Website user account + password
The first two were sent back, and the VPS root password was the SolusVM password.
Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but I've always found it disconcerting when I receive any password in plaintext.
Should only ask for SolusVM password, hostname and operating system now as I had it in the wrong product group. SolusVM/root password are sent by email and stored in plain text unless you change them, account password is not.
I will look into generating random passwords for SolusVM, thanks for pointing it out.
+1, I've been using their USA VPS since three months, I've had good experience with them.
Question: how long after payment does it take for the account to be set up?
Maximum 10 minutes unless it's marked as fraud, that's how often the account creation script runs. Cheers!

You list Ubuntu 14.04 in the offer but the signup page only has Ubuntu 12.04. Is a 14.04 template available?
Yes, it's available when you rebuild the machine, just not during signup.
