    Thanked by 1tarek.box
  • 'I/O speed : 100 MB/s' is NOT bad but '52.7 MB/s' is bad.

As they already said, Network is bad, I/O is bad. For 15$ isnt worth it.

    @mustafaramadhan

52MB/s isn't bad depending on the usage, for most people more than a couple of MB/s is overkill.

Dedi vs VPS arguement can go on for days... There are a range of VPS that would give a few dedi's a run for the money and be <10% of the price.

  • @wych,

My simple opinion, spent USD 15/month or more, better choose low-end dedi rather than VPS. With the same money (example in online.net), we got more memory, hdd and BW.

How's RAID on that box treating you?

    Hi,

Why 10gb? We have found out that this is best fit of storage for normal / WEB usage VPS. However if you need more you can open sales ticket so we can make you custom quote. Now you will ask why 10GB for that price. We are using RAID 10 hardware raid arrays consisting of 6 drives on 90% deployment. It is expensive setup. We are using XEN as our hypervisor and all machines ordered in 2015. are delivered in HVM mode.

If you are looking super fast, stable and professional OpenVZ host i am recommending booth Ramnode and VPSDime.

    Thank you for considering us.

In my experience, still choose low-end dedi + remote backup.

  • @tarek4web Take a look at Specials in @drserver 's signature. ( $7 for 2C+2GB PVHVM )

Not an E3 cpu, but top-notch Incero Network + stable IOPS (min 1000) . Abundant (dedicated) RAM can fix all performance bumps. Very good value/dollar

@drserver 's parent-like customer support is just Fresh cream frosting on the cake.

I prefer more Communication to random host BS+ unpredictable response time.

If you don't want to run an RDBMS safely or don't obsess about excellent timely support response time, check out Wable 's $8/m Openvz resource pack (check if their POWERBOOST promo is still running; gives 6gb RAM+80gb ssd).
I find their offering great as a pure hosting resource/utility but support leaves much to be desired.

(I don't like bumping support question tickets twice in 7 days to not even hear an acknowledgement.)

Of course a killer combo comes to mind. Order both these plans !

Use the Wable Dallas resources for web servers/ and web workers (rails/php/python) and run your databases on 2GB @drserver special (they will be in same Datacenter with max 0.5 ms latency).

Best of both virtualization worlds for $15/m (7 cores, 8gb ram, 80gb ssd + 80gb ssd-cached, practically unlimited 10Gbit network from Wable)

    Thanked by 1drserver
