Permission for folder + file collaboration?
Hi,
let's say we have four users (user and group):
user1:user1
user2:user2
user3:user3
user4:user4
We have a group called "membersonly" where all user (above) are members.
We have a folder called "stuff" with folliwing user and group owner:
user1:membersonly
Now user3 creates a new folder and a new file within "stuff". It has the following user and group owner:
user3:user3
Problem: The other user can't change the file or folder.
How can I force all new folders and files to have user1:membersonly as attributes when they are created by one of the above users?
Thank you.

If I understand correctly you have to change the primary group of user
http://askubuntu.com/questions/165942/how-to-change-primary-group
Or you can use setgid and apply it to main folder (2xxx) all folders beneath it will inherit the group main folder has.
Thank you. I changed the primary group of all users.
