The test ip has been modified in the post after I realized that IP wasn't allocated to the test VM.

  • Looks very nice, especially for KVM

The rate limit/throttle on the port is due to the mitigation being on strict, it'll be adjusted today and you should see nice speeds

  • Take my money :))

  • Could somebody do a geekbench run on it!? Thanks.

  • dont support ipv6 ?

    No IPV6, sorry

  • Can I run a mail server in 128mb ? What can I do more with 128 ? I am novice in server technologies.

  • Grabbed one a few days back/last week. Network is hurting a bit, but not much to complain about for $5. Everything else is great.

  • Grabbed one just now. Network is totally down.

This is due to the DDoS mitigation system flagging downloads as an attack as it's been set more on the aggressive side, the DC will get it fixed either today or tomorrow and the network should be quick after that.

    Looking into your ticket now.

  • Is it out of stock? can't get anyone

  • 3GB Disk Space. Let see what kind of adult content will fit it?

  • I have grabbed one , find that apt-get locale-gen very slow.
apt-get building dependency tree takes over minitues. Much slower than bandwagon 128M offer, don't know if it is normal

This is due to the current DDoS mitigation settings, We're waiting on the DC to tweak the settings further to allow full access as of right now currently downloads are getting flagged due (false positives). Once the DC has adjusted this it'll be fine.

I'll make a comment here once this has been done.

  • No more stock?

Stock has been disabled until we resolve the issue with the network, check back tomorrow.

  • Managed to grab one earlier. Network seems working now.

  • Does anybody know if Ubuntu will install on this from ISO?

  • Question:

What do you use this VPS for? 100GB Bandwidth. How about 100 Mbps and add more bandwidth?

    All this! Plus:

    • reverse proxy

    • GRE tunnel the DDoS protected IP to bigger VM nearby

the apt-get kswapd0 use high cpu and halt, seems not relative to network or DDos?

    top

    Imgur

apt-get for 20 minutes only goes to Building dependency tree... 40% really slow :)

    apt-get update

     Reading package lists... Done
     Building dependency tree... 40%

looks the CPU or I/O very slow :|

@cppgohan thats why he said: * Best Effort I/O and you should know what "Best Effort" means. MaximumVPS offers also 7.50$ Yearly KVM with 64MB but better I/O.

  • @cppgohan said:

it uses some network, I can assure you the CPU/IO is not the drawback, check back in a couple hours again or when I post here stating that it's been fixed.
