Doesn't seem to be well know/popular ...... almost no info about company even on their website

  • Recognized the name, as was looking at their Manchester facility once, and it wasn't the most competitive then never mind it being poorly equipped compared to the competition.

Rather ominous how 2 days before they were served they run a great offer giving 3 months free rack space, guess they realized they were screwed. Wonder if anyone will buy them/their centers?

  • Irack is how white people say Iraq

  • According to the petition they owe money to the gas company, is Britain that desperate now to do this.

They were probably their electricity supplier, British Gas also do that. British Gas used to be the only gas supplier, hence the name, but the energy markets have been fully open for over 30 years - wish they were run like they are in France though personally.

Given that British Gas are probably the electricity supplier, they are probably the people they owe the most money to.

  • Thats what I figured @frank.

Prove the company can't pay its debts

To wind up a company you must be owed £750 or more.

You must provide evidence to the court that you’re owed this money by the company.

Evidence can be any of the following:

    -snip-

The court may also accept other proof, eg that the company’s debts are more than its assets.

That's basically all you have to do in the UK + £2,000 or so of fees, which could be refunded as well if the company can afford it.

    Forced liquidation, interesting.

  • @Frank - British Gas/Centrica whatever they are called this week must be desperate though. Most of the time EDF/SSE/etc want sizeable deposits for datacentre operation especially in the MW+ area.

  • All the utility providers in the UK are feeling the squeeze and with winter on its way, they are only holding something like 4% (or 6% after paying some power stations to stay online) spare capacity.A hefty cold snap and they are out of gas / electric and the blackouts start (hows that for a Express headline - they love a good scare mongering?)

I-rack and I-ran. You know we're really just telling you what we did that afternoon right? It's not like those are even real places. Just made up by CNN to make us think the world is bigger than it is. Where's my lynyrd skynyrd tape?
