Is virtio enabled?
I just did that on one of our VPS's and got 603MB first time and 672MB second time so I'd say there is a major issue with the host node of your VPS rather than anything to do with drivers because it's so bad.
That is low. Open a ticket
@kihi
so low I'd think there is something overloading (way beyond overselling) of the node. If it magically improves a day later, and re-occurs on the same slowness every sunday for instance, it could be a disk IO issue during backups (but thats real bad)
What seetings are you using for your KVM, namely for the disk? Check solusvm.
It's too low even if without virtio driver and during backups.
Have you tried to open support ticket?
Definitely, too slow! Raise the issue with your provider.
