Use the net install, then choose minimal when installing.

Use the netinstall and only install what you need.. Afaik there are no official minimal ISOs like Debian.

Couldn't get netinstall to work yesterday. Will try again, is there anything special I need to do? :P

I'm gonna make an assumption that you don't really want the minimal install of CentOS. When they say minimal, they really mean it.

I had a serious problem with that some months ago (6.x tho) couldnt install because it kept saying it does not find the mirrors and I put them manually, many of them, in the end used proxy and that worked... I did not manage to understand what was wrong, lost an hour or more trying to figure out what is the problem. The gateways were ok, everything worked in the network, even gave it routable IP, still didnt work... M
