  • @yomero it's vSwap as far as I know :)

  • @ElliotJ said: @yomero it's vSwap as far as I know :)

Are stable? Seems an interesting one to replace.... one with lots of outages :P

  • They were very very stable for about a month, until they started having a few hardware issues.
In their defence, they were prompt to resolve the problem, and mass-migrated everyone off before the problem became a real issue

They're currently syncing the raid array, so it's a bit slow at the moment, but other than this issue i'd completely recommend them. If you want, I'll let you know how things pan out once the sync is finished.
I'm on node O.10, if anyone else here is with them, and wants to chime in.

    Thanked by 1yomero
  • Just for my curiosity... Why nobody care to list us? I'm sure some of you are using the free xen vps I personally setup, others bought the openvz.
    You make me cry :(

Don't feel obliged I was only asking myself if there is a reason :)

@prometeus I must of missed that. Wouldn't mind buying/trying a kvm/xen in milan. However your XEN plans start from 15 $, a bit to much for me for 256mb ram.

For download, I can max out the 100Mbit connection from other UK servers I've tested with and it can max out my 50Mbit connection. I use it as a VPN, it's pretty stable too. If you would like to test the connectivity hit me a PM and I'll sort something.

@netomx said: How did freevps works?

It's all explained more or less in the Requirements page. You post in the forums and as you obtain more posts and points and reputation your score increases. Every now and again there's a VPS giveaway and it's won by the person with the highest score, VPS's are taken away if people don't keep up with posts, abuse etc.
