New provider ServerRoad

Hello altogether,

thank you very much for reading this message!
I want to introduce us really quick:

Some of you may remember me working for ComsTown WebIT
a year ago, because this company closed at 1/1/2014?!
But now I managed it to start a business on my own and named
it ServerRoad (it seems to be a way better name than ComsTown WebIT
was :P).

Some of you told me they loved the old service, because I was very
busy at developing new functions and providing the best possible
experience you can have with a KVM machine.
Of course I want to keep that going! But I had to find compromises:
That's why I switched to a great software for billing and customer
management and can now concentrate on the service itself.
Please bare with me if there are some issues yet, I will be very busy
working on the whole system the next days.

But apart of this change I also started a cooperation with a company
here in germany that specialized on mitigating DDoS attacks.
I am very proud to be able to offer you high end business solutions
for the lowest price possible!

To sum up: I now separated from the former company
ComsTown WebIT and I would like to welcome you to my very own
company ServerRoad.

There will be offers coming the next days, when I finished work
on the customer panel. Please stay tuned! :)

If you have questions, or if you want to tell something important
feel free to post it here.

Have a nice day!

Yours sincerely,
Christopher Mäuer
ServerRoad

I think they had a 1 GB KVM special for 2 Euros. Can't remember anything cheaper than that.

I think you should try and comply with german laws, if you intend to do business as you said... for instance there is no legal imprint on your website, while you are offering things already, so maybe you're not a legal business? what about VAT, do you do your taxes?

just wanted to point out, otherwise one may get sued very soon in germany...

PS: if you're not ready to launch yet, maybe better not posting amongst competitors ;-)

Thank you very much, I added it at the footer already, but it must have been overwritten.

  • Traffic looks quite less as compared to other German VPS offers around but still those prices look cheapest I can think of for an EU/DE KVM VPS. Still wishing you best of luck with your new venture :)

That is true, I am currently discussing with the people at the datacenter if it is possible to lower the price per TB a bit so I can give you more free traffic.
Maybe there will be an update to these offers (and also for existing services)

Thank you for your support :)

  • @ServerRoad remove that offer post please.

Why not police the .edu get-free-service scamming instead of hassling an honest guy trying to start an on-topic business?

I don't pick and choose who I apply the rules to. Everyone goes fucking mental if certain hosts post a day early. Mods and admins get accused of favouritism, yet you'd have me not apply the rules to someone because you think he might be alright?

The .edu thing isn't my call. Flag it to an admin if you're concerned.

I will of course! Obviously I got the rules wrong. I thought 5 posts or 14 days membership are required.

    Please excuse me...

Cheers fella, as you've guessed, it's both. I figured it was an honest mistake.

Because I had to delete my offer, I also deleted a very important part of the message by accident.

    Which functionalities will be available?

    • Server stop/start

    • Mount/Unmount ISO files

    • VNC Console (by Java Applet or any Linux/Mac/PC Application)

    • Backups (manually and automated)

    • Offline-FTP (modify files when the server is stopped)

    • Suggest ISO files

    • RDNS settings

    • Windows licenses

    • Plesk Licenses

If you have wishes or suggestions, please let me know, I want to add them!
