37,000 hits in 2 days on a LEB? Write something about a Mac and a Pi
Those numbers are from the last two days. A simple article about how to turn a Pi in to a OS X Time Machine network storage: https://raymii.org/s/articles/Build_a_35_dollar_Time_Capsule_-_Raspberry_Pi_Time_Machine.html
I posted it in the Apple Subreddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/apple/comments/2ewfrv/build_a_35_time_capsule_raspberry_pi_time_machine/
It got picked up on 9to5mac: http://9to5mac.com/2014/08/29/want-a-time-capsule-but-find-it-a-bit-pricey-create-a-diy-version-with-35-rasberry-pi/
It generated an awesome amount of traffic, still going on right now.
How do the LEB VPS-es handle it? Piece of cake. Static website with NGINX, all servers have < 512 MB RAM, it are at the moment 4 servers in DNS Round robin. Loads less than 0.5 everywhere, ram usage still below 30%.
The only server that is being "used", is the one VPS that runs Piwik. Does it mind? Not at all, handles it fine:

Good work! What's your click ratio like with the ads on that page?
Don't know, not much. Google ads have been on for 2 years, did not reach the minimum payout yet...
@Raymii You rock! Great work and very impressive indeed.
Thanks for sharing! Welcome into the nginx-in-front-of-whatever synagogue.
PM me if you want help optimising. You should be getting a ratio of at least 3%.
Your website won't load for me however
EDIT: It does now.
That doesn't sound right. Let me know if you want some tips.

Best typo in the web right now.
and nice one
Good job. And you should at least be seeing a 3% CR like mentioned before.
I saw your site on the front page a few days back, couldn't help but upvote it again.
@Raymii Nice guide, just a small mis-spelling though.
