Free VPS Giveaway #3

virtualvmvirtualvm Member
edited August 2014 in Offers

Hi,

I have an unused Xeon & SSD server and would like to provide LET users with a Free VPS. This is the third time I've given away virtual servers here on LET. The first two times the VPS servers were online for more than 6 months.

Please do not fill the Firstname and Lastname fields with gibberish or your VPS will be deleted.

Instant VPS creation:
https://cp.virtualvm.com/cart.php?a=add&pid=2

Cheers!
-VVM

Yes, the security certificate has expired on that site. I'm not renewing it :)

  • But, yeap, instant created :)

  • Damn, 8x IPv4, cool :D

  • One VPS per person. Ordering multiple VPS's will get the order deleted.

You should not do this as some people don't want their domain/ip to be public

Yeah it feels like the first thing you do, is starting disclosing customer's private information on the forum. At least should have warned that their domain name will get published if people sign-up.

  • Security certificate warning pops up

  • The welcome emails were not being sent out, but it's now been fixed.

  • I had to skip the connection speed in bench.sh, because it was too slow:

    $ wget http://freevps.us/downloads/bench.sh -O- | bash

They were sent out, got it 3 times now, stop spamming me :-(

Domain names are already public information. However, I removed that info since it was requested :)

LOL. Guess they were queuing up! :)

  • @virtualvm Thanks for the VPS, but my one hasn't been created instantly. Could you have a look?

What's your order number, hostname, or firstname?

    837KB/sec is about 7Mbps. That's too slow?? ;)

  • @virtualvm My first name is Jan and the hostname 'virtualvm'.

  • It seems to work but pretty low resource wise. Thanks though!
