How much money do I need to buy a unique hosting template?

stallionstallion Member
edited August 2014 in General

Sup,

I need to buy a custom/unique hosting template. Unique means the designer will sell it once.
I am not looking to compete with hostgator or bluehost. But still I need my site to look professional and when the user comes to my site he should get the impression that he is buying from someone who is serious about what he is doin. And must show trust.

What are the best places to find such designers and how much money I need?
There are millions or trillions of free templates out there so when someone offers you something how do you make sure that the template offered to you is indeed a unique template and isn't ripped off from someone else's work?

Thanks

  • $300,000

Find a design firm, preferably American or West-EU based, and ask THEM for a quote.

    1000 - 1500

  • @drserver
Can you show me an example? Which template can I expect to buy in the budget of 1000-1500 $ ? I think that is rather high price for a template.

You're thinking in the wrong way.

  • @ztec Thanks
Please elaborate what's on your mind.
""You're thinking in the wrong way.""
    is not really conveying anything.

He means if you think 1 to 1.5K is too expensive... You're in the wrong way..

Not sure what that last part means.

What's your budget? I'll just assume the template is for WHMCS?

Your looking for a cheap template that will be unique, everyone else is thinking of you getting a custom design for your hosting business that will be unique direct off a designer/agency company.

  • $200+ IMO, obviously the higher you go the better quality you will get.

You could do a contest for $600+ and get multiple designs to choose from http://99designs.ca/web-design/contests

The question is, what price are you expecting it for? i.e your budget

For custom design you should pay. If you want to make difference it will cost you. There is no workaround. Talented designer and coder will not make you turnkey webpage on the fiver. It may create it on some template selling webpage but it will not be unique.

Good looking, Unique, Cheap (pick two) - Or pay top $$$

Seems to me that he is best for the business. He is here on the forum @harzem

A simple design that's just easy on the eye with a good marketing video / sales pitch on your homepage will probably earn you more money. I don't have the time right now to got deeper on this, but just investing in design will not bring you much in return.

Also if you think host gators site is .. competition (hahaha it's so ugly) you obviously don't know what style is..

Have a look at Drservers chalkboard site..

Also ask yourself if you want it to be responsive... Then add a bit more to your budget...

What's your expectations? If you plan to use WHMCS to manage clients, services etc. then just visit sites like:

    www.whmcsthemes.com

They have "Custom quote". Use it and ask about price.

You can't show up without a responsive design these days. It shouldn't even be a question anymore.

I win every time with that site, when ugliness is in question. And i have nice looking new website already done http://drserver.net/new (it is custom design actually) but i like old one, it is so ugly, lame and poor that you must love it.

True, but a lot of host don't do it, I'm unsure if it's budget or they just think that everyone who wants their services must use a desktop to do purchase.

@drserver ooo spinny! also -1 for unresponsive ;)

  • 1500 - 2000 EUR (sometimes more) Check these two: https://akdesigner.com/ and http://www.mindbees.com/

https://akdesigner.com/ might just be me but that looks horrible.

Unique template? I think what you are looking for is a web design service not a template if you're looking to spend more than a couple hundred bucks. Under that, you could get a template but it won't be unique.

If this is for a unique WHMCS theme, about $300-600 depending on what you want.

You're going about this the wrong way.

Exactly. Buying a unique template the designer will sell once means you're buying something someone designs in a vacuum that you hope meets your needs. Instead, why not hire someone to design exactly what you want?

You're trying to be cheap. Cheap rarely equals good. It never means customized good.

BTW, your web site is one of those "must be good enough, but beyond that there's little value". Some of the best in the business don't have great web sites. I've seen tons of hosts that have very flashy sites that didn't last long.
