  • Spain-Croatia 1-0 and Italy-Ireland 2-0

  • Been seeing only Portugal games since i'm Portuguese, don't really know who is going to win, i know for sure that Portugal will win the next game.

We have a good team, the best player in the world, been doing awesome games.

    I have a question, as a non-soccer guy.

Why do they have penalty kicks?

    Why not just keep playing?

I can't accept the "well, they're tired" argument because hockey players keep skating until things are settled (and with hockey you're wearing gear, moving faster, and are allowed to slam into each other). In basketball they keep playing as well.

Baseball and football are different kinds of sports, but hockey and basketball are essentially the same game as soccer. So...why penalty kicks? It just seems bizarre to me...the game is played by one set of rules, and then is decided by what is almost a completely different game.

  • Vote for Spain ;p

and keep praying if no one get a heart attack on the field?

don't know in hockey. but rules in football (or soccer) you only allow to change maximum 3 players. 2x45 minutes + 2 x 15 minutes extra time (if any).
