12 usd for .com
I'm down!
I wonder what the prices are like. I would suspect a very nice network of DNS servers and Google like attention to detail in the least.
where did you see prices??
right now it's invitation only. $12 for dot com with free private whois and DNS among other features. I bet the DNS is fast.
cool, will have to try them out once I get my invite
WHOOP
I never wanted something like cloud hosting from google, but the stability, protection from social engineering and the fact it'll show the domain registrar is google just about nails it for me.
If anybody wants to get rid of an invitation code, I'm all in for it!
reminds me of gmail when it was invite only circa 2004
Ironically...

Seems fake, and that would've been MarkMonitor's fault
exactly, that'd be markmonitor at fault.
I don't think google isn't 100% social engineering protected, but past (successful) attempts on their services e.g. gmail shoukd have hardened them more than your average domain registrar.
Yes...I said ironically.
I wonder what the private whois looks like on a google.com registered domain.
No PayPal I guess.
Google Wallet only, of course
Wow, $12 with whois protection great.
Check my signature, less than $12 and it comes with free WHOIS protection.
"We include 10 million resolutions per year for each domain you register with Google Domains."
Seems this is aimed at small websites only
Medium/large sites don't generally use their registrar's DNS, anyways.
If they're using their own Cloud DNS, that's about $4 (plus $2.40 for the zone) worth of DNS stuff with the domain.

monopoly
should be with everyone using their 8.8. servers
Will be interesting to see what it's like when I get my invitation code. I've been looking for a Namecheap replacement since their support went down the pan.
More Skynet. :P
