    @troll, I mean @tr1cky - it means 10GbE instances.

    Would really like to know if you had any DDoS filtering inplace anywhere on your network when you announced free DDoS protection on your main locations back then.

    Also:

    wget http://cachefly.cachefly.net/100mb.test
    --2014-06-21 00:17:59-- http://cachefly.cachefly.net/100mb.test
    Resolving cachefly.cachefly.net... 205.234.175.175
    Connecting to cachefly.cachefly.net|205.234.175.175|:80... connected.
    HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 200 OK
    Length: 104857600 (100M) [application/octet-stream]
    Saving to: "100mb.test.2"

    100%[======================================>] 104,857,600 75.6M/s in 1.3s

    Can't get more than 800Mbps.

    GIVE10 does not work for me - or is that only for new customers?

    I think it's GIVEME10, but that doesn't work either. Maybe it's only for new customers.

    It can be tricky to verify that you have more than a Gbit. Could very well be that Cachefly's speedtest server that you happen to use, is on just 1 Gbit itself. One way to go about this is to download from multiple very fast test files at the same time; and you need files sized much more than 100MB to begin with. Here's one source for EU: http://speedtest.tele2.net/

    Still can't get more than 100mb/s, am downloading 20 files at the same time right now.

    Oh and one more thing, try tweaking the TCP stack: http://fasterdata.es.net/host-tuning/linux/

  • So they are all 10gbit now or do you have to select something on order?

    Only storage plans i believe.

    Deploy > Large Storage > Server Size >

    Should say 10GigE

    In all locations, or?

  • tr1ckytr1cky Member

    Oh, found them, it's just for the storage plans and it costs more, but 1tb bandwidth on 10gbps for 15$ isn't really a dealbreaker.

    Thanks, found it!

    wgeting different test files it seems i can only get 90 MB/s combined :(

  • Anyone have a test file on their vps they would be willing to let me test downloading from? PM me if you don't want it public, ill let you know my results.

    Cheers!

    Guys, those test servers are gigabit not 10gbe. These instances have full 10gbe line rate to our core.
