Looking for VPS providers that include DDoS protection

Mark_RMark_R Member

Hello,

I'm currently looking for vps providers that include ddos protection.

So far i've found 1 provider that looks pretty solid,

https://www.sharktech.net/index.php?ID=cloud_virtual_servers&PG=2

My question is, do you guys know of any other providers that offer a similiar deal or better? is anyone familiar with sharktech?

Do not mention OVH, Online.net, or any other french provider please. Thank you!

    Found another one http://my.fragready.com/cart.php?a=confproduct&i=1

but it is really hard to believe that they offer DDoS Protection up to 1TB like they claim on that page.

  • RamNode..?

We offer basic DDoS protection based off LSN, which migrates small attacks.

Upto how much Gbps can you handle?

Mark_R , you looking for a DDOS Protected VPS correct? but you could be better off getting a TCP / HTTP Proxy & using it to cover your ip

I'm not looking for a GRE Tunnel or Reverse proxy.

    Why's that?

  • ShivamShivam Member

It depends on what his using it for tbh , i'd say for a game / protecting a website or if you dont want to get your cloudflare terminated if your attacked above 1 gbps. Many reasons

  • NyrNyr Community Contributor, Veteran

@Shivam many games aren't even TCP. And I don't understand what CloudFlare has to do with this. Anyway, you still hadn't explained why proxied/tunneled protection is better.

I'll probably host a source/orangebox engine based gameserver on it, solid UDP protection is required.

(no random UDP dropping when a attack comes in.)

@Nyr , a HTTP Proxy , will protect your cloudflare ip (extra protection) and won't get your cloudflare account banned. I'll be offer HTTPS Proxies, once i sort out the SSL Connection,

    • Benefit for HTTPS = Dont have to pay $20 / month for cloudflare [SSL]
    • Benefit for TCP = Minecraft & Retros Etc.
    • Benefit for HTTP = Cheap & Pretty much does everything cloudflare does/ You wont get your account banned for a attack over 1 gbps

No. First learn how CloudFlare works, you can't even put a reverse proxy before CloudFlare (at least on the free plans). Well, you could, but using a different domain/subdomain and it would be stupid.

I guess i've got enough options for now. If anyone knows of a provider that hasn't been mentioned yet,

    feel free to post.

BuyVM hands down best U.S protection I've used, and only $3/month!

    Hello,
    Your service looks interesting.
Can you give more info about your services?

And what kind of services is this? Some link to wikipedia will be enough for me.

    Thanks

I've had an attack of about 2Gbps that knocked it clean out of the water. :(
