Your go-to provider(s) for production uses?

BradBrad Member

Good day, LET!

Out of the thousands of VPS hosts out there, which is/are your go-to providers when it comes down to production uses? It doesn't have to be a low end one, just one that you would trust with your data.

My most important server are run by Colorhost and RamNode. I use them as backup vps and all my important files are saved there. Obviously I would be really fucked if both got wiped.

The I use WeLoveServer, IT7 (bandwagonhost xvmlabs), LowEndSpirit, onepoundwebhosting (main webserver - also very important) and OVH. I've got VPSs with serveral other providers as well, but not really for production uses.

RamNode for serious projects, HostHatch for non-serious projects, random LEB for fun stuff.

You must not be a customer or monitor anything. They go up and down like horny teenagers with network issues, power outages, etc.

    Ramnode, Oktay Brand, Iperweb.

I would like to use DrServer in the future, but haven't gotten my hands on one of their VMs yet.

I've got two production servers with them right now, I don't have hardly any issues at all. I mean sometimes stuff does go wrong but for the price I'm not complaining to much.

Mission critical: Iperweb/Prometeus, Ramnode, Wable/Incero, AWS & Linode

A little less important: weloveservers, Crissic & INIZ

  • Just out of curiosity, most providers do not provide VIP, the only exceptions are luna node and iwstack, how do you handle the production with single point failure? Just bite the bullet, or throw more operation resource to handle it manually?

    Important project :

    • iwStack

    My own website :

    • Prometeus XenBiz
    • Fiberoute
    • RamNode
    • Onepoundwebhosting
    • Digital Ocean
    • Connectindo ( Indonesian provider, KVM )
    • Drupadi ( Indonesian provider, KVM )

    Storage :

    • Fliphost
  • agentmishraagentmishra Member, Host Rep

almost any, which ever fits my budget...

  • Catalyst, BuyVM, RAMNode, QuickPacket, Prometeus.

  • Prometeus Brands, RocketVPS (Knownhost Company), HeroicVps, QueryFoundry Brands, Linode are some of the providers I have trusted for production level from LEB/T. Serverian Brands, CatalystHost, BuyVM, RamNode are also in my list. More than stability/performance, maturity of the people running it and support will be contributing factors for my decision.
