Kimsufi.... 4.99 euro dedicated server

Looks like kimsufi / ovh are doing cheap dedi's again. I've just grabbed one, it's a shame they still have this high setup fee but at 4.99 euro I still think a n2800 at that price is a bargain. Anyone else planning to get one?

Well, looks like the old configuration but for 4,99€ instead of 2,99€ and then 3,99€. Futhermore, I think 4,99€ are without VAT?

Yeah it is, however it's still cheap for a dedicated server with a not terrible cpu, compared to online.net's via nano its brilliant..

  • sc754sc754 Member

i3 with 4000 Benchmark for 15 Euros something is going crazy.

  • earlearl Member

OVH is such a nightmare!! It wont accept my old account and have to make a new one..

seems support is only by forum! nothing in the kimsufi panel for support, except for a link to the forum.

If your site really gets new orders every minute you shouldn't be a cheap ass and should get some Xeon based box with RAID.

no you need a Dual E5- with 128GB RAM and 8-12 SSDs for that.

I host my MYSQL Server on its own server. Just going to host the site files in round robin setup, as I occasionally get attacked.

Hmm, apparently I don't have an OVH account anymore, despite having 3 active services.

    I hate these guys sometimes.

Paid for one of the Atom boxes in BHS but 72 hrs set up time, check back in 3 days if you wanna see a benchmark :)

Or if someone who have faster finger/internet than me, what kind of benchmarks do you guys get?

One thing I don't like about their new Kimsufis though is the fact that you can't install Windows natively on them. My old Kimsufi box had all those Windows server distributions enabled, which was very neat.

  • StevieStevie Member

USA still can not order from kimsufi right????
