Getting an udp 31931 pps

edited May 2012 in General

Today I want to move one of my blog to Hostigation. But seem's like I'm receiving DDOS arround 31931 pps.
And that makes my website / vps inaccessible. What is the meaning of 31931pps?

So, I would like to ask, what are the script that can do that kind of DDOS? I mean, some script like python or php?
And how do I stop that kind of attack?

It's not hard to push that much PPS with a UDP flood.

  • @Francisco : So you ever tried that? (Ddosing) :D
Do you have any suggestion to stop that?

Only on private LAN's to prove that realtek NIC's were garbage at higher PPS :P

You could pick up a pony w/ a filtered IP, there isn't really a way to just tank 30,000 that Tim is going to offer out of Caro. At 30k pps he has to deal with the traffic itself and it's likely around 300 - 500Mbit.

  • Hum... Ok. Thank you for the explanation.

Seem's like my vps which with BuyVM is also receiving ddos, because I'm receiving an email.

So, if I want to buy a filtered IP, from my existing BuyVM VPS (O256), is it just make an Upgrade, and from the upgrade option I should choose the DoS-Filtered IP (BuyVM Aegis DDoS ) ?

The email should document to you what the PPS was, etc.

Yep. The IP will get bound to your box and you'll see it in your IP list under 209.141.39.x

Just swap your services/etc to that IP and it'll be protected.

Some people swap their 'main ip address' to the filtered IP to make it easier.

  • Ok, thank you. I will try it now :)

  • Ordered. But did not see the other IP. Is it manually provisioned?
