What do you use your VPS for?
Following from my previous thread (http://bit.ly/1fBdQjD) I noticed that some people have quite a few VPS's.
I'd like to know what you use them for, what spec's they have and where they are...

DNS Servers, 128MB. 8 in different locations.
Hosting website and vpn server.
Personally I have 4 VPS's all hosted with RamNode in NL.
Each with:
I also have free credit with DigitalOcean which I use to test software.
I use mine for various personal projects, development testing and ‘private hosting’. And probably a few more things
Everything can be found here

lol, that 123systems you run tor relay, which i read on their TOS is forbidden. hide it now !
4 x DNS servers (geographically diverse) 2 x web servers 1 x backup server (OVH dedicated) 1 x telnet BBS 3 x VPN servers/Squid proxies (geographically diverse for specific purposes) 1 x Windows 7 installation (genuine licence) in KVM as a kind of 'virtual laptop' 3 x for just testing and general messing around
Edit for formatting
1G RAM in LA, only use for my ghost blog platform based on node.js.
Seems you are right, I checked it before and didn't found it.
Lets see what I'm going to do with it :P
Web. 512mb, 1 core. In Estonia, from TorqHost. At a stable node with 109 days and counting since my last reboot!
48 VPS's from different companies that accept BTC for ddos attacks,
2 VPS's for C&C servers
And 4 for just messing around
I just migrated everything to RamNode due to their epic 42% off discount, so I currently have:
1 x 512MB SSD --> Mail Server
1 x 1GB SSD Cached --> Web server + cloud storage
1 x 512MB HDD --> Testing
1 x 2GB HDD --> Testing
TeamSpeak 3, Monitoring, different Webserver, 1 Backup server, and a few KVM to play around with
znc, rtorrent, subsonic server, btsync/backup, bubbleUPnP, openvpn
ZNC, rwhois, dev, websites, DNS, MC, etc
1x Minecraft server 1x personal web server 1x webserver for friends and self 2x nothing :( 1x monitoring server 1x backup server
I should really do something with the idle boxes, but that requires ingenuity and time. Neither of which I have right now.
Thinking about it, not a lot; I do most of my OVH dedis these days. I think I'll give some of my cheap yearlies away once I've cleared it with the providers.
Is this their $14/year special? I have one too, it's amazingly good!
3 x for 3 different websites (32 MB, 128 MB, 2 GB memory), 1 on standby for redundancy
1 x owncloud / backup
1 x project code / dev
1 x personal socks5/vpn
3 x speedtest servers (my own), also in the ntp pool to help people sync their clocks
4+ more from awesome providers that are helping with the speedtest project
I'd like to see how many of these threads there are..
We should have one stickied.
Not enough to count them up yourself, apparently.
This is the kind of thread I wouldn't care if there where more. Why? It changes all the time. I always like to read this and see if there are some fun things to do with my idle boxes.
1 x RamNode 1GB - SSD = WebServer
1 x Crissic 1GB - HDD = Backup Server
@taronyu
^this :P
Some 512MB(RAM) for global DNS cluster, a few 100GB (disk) for backups and a 4GB (RAM) for web server.
