TBH I dont like what I see there, all points coming from first choice ?
While not impossible, looks highly unlikely.

  • Use/used 8/20 of these hosts :)

  • Wow, I use No.1,5,19 provider listed.

digitalocean hardly appears in LEB but it's very good to be on the list.

I Voted for Backupsy and DigitalOcean.

btw, In Chinese market, there are some theorems for VPS atm:

    eg:
Bluevm is only good only after they fix up all the glitches every time they release new offers.

Can't afford Linode? Looking for stable, reliable affordable KVM? Get DigitalOcean

Large disk for backup? Get a Backupsy, no swiftway please.

    urpad? getting terrible

shardhost? I want my money back!!!

    for location, eg:

West Coast of the US, good location

Japan, low ping, goes crazy at night

Hong Kong, Singapore? Bandwidth terrible, only good for blog sites.

It means people picked him as their first choice when they listed their choices :P

MaxVPS is a very good provider, he deserves it :)

I know. I'm missing the 100M fiber in Beijing as well.

You really need to make your upstream have Debian 6 for me!!

    Just saying =P

Incredibly well, I am amazed how he manages all those 12 DCs he said he deals with.
    I am in awe...
And he was narrowly beaten by someone who offers free semi-cloud service with ssd and benefits from millions of investment money.
    Amazing...

For anyone who is interested if this was based purely on number of votes rather than the 3 points for first 2 points for 2nd, 1 point for 3rd system then the results would be:

    image

I have done it side by side with the current system table on the left and if it was by umber of votes on the right, the interesting change would be that the top 5 would have been:

    1. Ramnode
    2. Prometeus
    3. BuyVM
    4. Digital Ocean
    5. Iniz

Personally I think the number of votes and you are allowed 3 is a fairer system, just throwing that out there :)

  • Hi, @AnthonySmith great analysis, thanks! Your suggestion is indeed easier to count.

I cannot require my upstream to do anything- - Maybe you can use ubuntu instead.

  • Oh, I miss the vote thread. :(
