    I'm developing a special-interest website for a group of users in these countries:

    Iceland
    Faroe Islands
    Greenland
    Norway
    Canada (Atlantic)

    I'm wondering where to locate it to get best connectivity for all. Currently it's hosted in the NE US.

    If you live in one of these countries and have a few minutes to spare to do a ping and traceroute and browse a few pages, drop me a PM here.

    I don't want to make the domain public here as it's still early days, and I don't want search engines, crawlers, etc. (yet!).

    Oh, I've got eastern Canada covered so no problem there :)

    Have a look here http://www.cablemap.info/ to see where is the best location where most of those countries connect to.

    If you want to be in the middle of those listed, then I think Iceland would be the best location.

    I would host it from Germany, because generally they have good routing to nordic countries in europe. And for Canada it's not that bad either. I mean it's better than any nordic country has.
